CHAS Certificate 2023/2024

We are delighted to share that Althon has been awarded CHAS accreditation for this coming year, after demonstrating compliance with the CHAS standard in line with the requirement of SSIP Core Criteria and UK H&S Legislation.

CHAS stands for The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme. Being an approved CHAS Principal Contractor demonstrates that we comply with important health and safety legislation.

We are delighted that our submission was deemed compliant with the CHAS standard. 

Well done to everyone involved in making this happen!

Norwich Foodbank Collection

Althon and the MAG Group are collecting for the Norwich Foodbank Christmas collection this year. If you are local to us and would like to donate you are welcome to drop by with any donations before Friday 8^th December. Our address is MAG Group Building, Vulcan Road South, Norwich, NR6 6AF and drop off times would be between 9am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

New H6C Headwalls

We have recently expanded our range of H6C headwalls, this now includes 3 new headwalls with level wing walls. 

The new headwalls come in external backwall heights of 1100mm, 1550mm and 2050mm. All the headwalls in this range are designed to suit plastic or clay pipes up to 600mm and concrete pipes up to 450mm.

Local headwalls in Suffolk

We have recently supplied several headwalls to Lowestoft’s third river crossing know as Gull Wing. We have supplied seven headwalls all with 3 sided kee klamp handrail and close coupled gratings. Having accessories factory fitted saves time on installation and has great health and safety benefits.
