As part of this project Althon have supplied several headwalls complete with kee klamp handrail, gate and ladder and ductile iron flap valves. The headwalls is the photos are the H10CC and H20CC headwalls. We also supplied kee klamp, gate and ladders for other areas of the site for the contractor to install.

Necton Headwalls 

This post showcases our recent supply of headwalls to a project in Necton, Norfolk. The client's specific request for factory-fitted orifice plates with a mesh basket on the headwalls demonstrates our ability to fabricate bespoke designs. Incorporating these accessories during the manufacturing process not only streamlines on-site operations but also significantly enhances health and safety measures.

Circular Pipe Mounted Gratings 

When you don't have a flat surface to fix to we can fabricate a hinged lockable pipe mounted grating. Ideal for bagwork or vegetated headwalls and made to suit your pipe diameter. Available in both galvanised and stainless steel

The gratings in the photos have been installed at a Wildlife Park in Suffolk. Hoping for some animals in the photos next time so stay tuned 🐵 🐱 🦊 🐼 🦁

SFA Inlet and Outlet Headwalls

🖥️ We have just launch a new section to our website for SFA Inlet and Outlet headwalls 

✔️ All of our Sewers for Adoption (SFA) headwalls fully comply with the Design and Construction Guidance for foul and surface water sewers offered for adoption under the Code for adoption agreements for water and sewerage companies operating wholly or mainly in England, Sewerage Sector Guidance (SSG) Part C.

✔️ Compliance includes wall thickness, depth and thickness of toe options, back wall width to accept correctly sized outfall safety grille & wing wall profiles to suit bank slope.

✔️ Our headwalls are designed to BS EN 1992-1-1 & manufactured to BS EN 15258:2008 precast concrete products – Retaining wall elements. They are also covered by Factory Production Control certificate number: 0086-CPR-650448 which means they are UKCA marked.

Lowestoft Gull Wing Bridge Project

In 2022, Althon supplied a number of precast concrete headwalls, to Lowestoft’s new Gull Wing bridge project. The project is still on going by Farrans Construction but all 7 of our headwalls have now been installed by them. All of our made to order headwalls have been supplied with pre fitted accessories, meaning less time spent on installation; saving valued time for contractors.
