Wallasea Island Project 

Originally specified as an in-situ flow control structure for the RSPB, Althon were able to design and manufacture a precast solution consisting of eight concrete ‘L’ walls which butted together with exposed reinforcement on the toe element so it could all be tied together with an in-situ apron.  The units were delivered, offloaded and put in place in a single day.

Precast Penstock Chambers

Precast Penstock Chambers

Althon have launched a range of precast penstock chambers to house penstocks up to 600mm.

We can cast the openings in the precast chambers to your required invert levels. We supply the penstocks with the chambers and the fixing points for the penstocks will be cast into the concrete chambers, meaning the units do not have to be drilled on – site.

Althon Produce Shark Proof Gate Valve

Althon were awarded the contract to design and manufacture a gate valve for a shark tank at an upmarket restaurant in Georgia.

The valve was designed to withstand shark impact, protect diners from shark attack and allow the tank maintenance team to access the tank for cleaning without the risk of being eaten by the shark.
